Global Response to Hantavirus Outbreak on Cruise Ship

A luxury cruise ship is currently traveling to the Canary Islands in Spain following a serious health emergency. The ship, known as the MV Hondius, has been dealing with an outbreak of hantavirus, a rare disease that has already caused three deaths. According to BBC News, the ship began its journey in Argentina on April 1. By the time the danger was identified, many passengers had already left the vessel at different stops, leading to a worldwide effort to find and monitor these individuals.
