US and Iran Move Toward Peace with New Preliminary Deal

Many Republican lawmakers have expressed skepticism, which means they are not yet convinced that the deal is a good idea. Senate majority leader John Thune told reporters that he has not been personally briefed on the agreement. He noted that it is difficult to take the deal seriously when the details remain secret. Hezbollah, a group based in Lebanon, has suggested that Iran will push for Israel to pull its troops out of southern Lebanon during the next phase of talks with the United States.
